TERMS & CONDITIONS of PARTICIPATION

These are the conditions for participating and submitting works of art for exhibitions at

GLEN INNES ART GALLERY 71 Grey Street Glen Innes NSW 2370

By submitting your works of art to The Gallery and listing those works on The Gallery’s Exhibition Artist List of Works you agree to terms and conditions listed below. To be read in conjunction with the Invitation to Exhibit Form

  1. PERIOD OF CONSIGNMENT

    The period of consignment is per The Gallery’s Exhibition calendar or/and per individual agreement with The Gallery for this exhibition.

  2. COMMISSION

    Commission is 20 % for members and 35 % for non members. The Gallery will pay the artist within 21 days of the end of the exhibition.

  3. EARLY & LATE RETURN

    A $5.00 Late fee applies if works are not picked up on due date (collection day). Early return of the art work(s) to The Artist can only take place if both parties agree.

  4. ENTRY FEE for OPEN EXHIBITIONS

    All work is to be accompanied by entry fee. Standard fees are $ 8.00 per item/collection and $5 per item if works for sale are under $50.

    A collection is defined as a display not exceeding an area 400mm x 400mm. A collection is also defined as a set of works sold as one item.

  5. DAMAGE, THEFT OR LOSS

    All due care will be taken with the art works, however, The Gallery will not be liable for any damage, theft or loss of any art works. The Artist is made aware that The Gallery do not hold an insurance that covers any damage, theft or loss and The Artist/Owner indemnifies Glen Innes Art Gallery and its members and committee against any claim arising from or incidental to the display of art works.

  6. SCOPE

    All works to have appropriate hanging or display fixtures and be no wider than 1.5 m.
    All works to be individually labeled with the exhibitors name, title and price/NFS on the back. Each artist must fill out an
    ‘Exhibition Worksheet’ or ‘Entry Formand list all artworks delivered. Artworks to be signed in and out by the artist (or their representative)

    (Can be done on the day of delivery)

  7. TRANSPORT

    The Artist/Owner will be liable for any costs involved with sending or returns of art works to and from The Gallery

  8. SELECTION OF WORK

    Work previously shown in the last five years at The Gallery is not to be entered again. The Glen Innes Art Gallery reserves the right to select which art work(s) to display and to refuse any art work it’s committee or curator deems unsuitable for exhibition – even if it has previously accepted. Space, lack of proper hanging fixtures or presentation may be grounds for rejection.
