In the Wilderness

In the Wilderness

The Glen Innes Art Gallery is very proud to welcome back one of its founding committee
members to present his first solo exhibition in the region since 2008.  Peter McLean
was a Glen Innes local and passionate member of the arts community until 2005 when
he relocated to Canberra to pursue formal studies in printmaking and drawing at the
Australian National University School of Art.  Now a full time artist who exhibits and teaches
regularly, he will be showing In The Wilderness, an exhibition of figurative drawings and prints
at the Glen Innes Art Gallery.

Peter is well known for spending a lot of time drawing in wild nature, and his studio
work reflects a deep interest in landscape and nature.  Peter McLean’s sense of contrast
is exceptional and his technical printing skills are impeccable. He will give an artist talk
at The Glen Innes Innes Art Gallery (Conference Room) Tuesday 1st October at 2 pm.

In The Wilderness opens at Glen Innes Art Gallery 71 Grey Street Glen Innes at 4pm, Saturday 28 September.

The exhibition will be open Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm and 9.30am to 12noon on Saturdays
until Friday 18th October. For more information about Peter McLean visit Peter’s blog or here.
