Robyn Condon

Robyn took on the role of President at the 2015 Art Gallery AGM. Robyn Condon is new to the Glen Innes Art Gallery, and although having a lifetime interest in creative pursuits, has not previously been involved with galleries, exhibitions or artists. Robyn has a rural background, originally from remote western Queensland, and moving to the Glen Innes area in 1980.

She has had a career based on community services, having worked within local government for over 20 years, delivering, coordinating  and managing programs for older people, people with disabilities, carers, young people, children and families, Aboriginal and CALD communities.   In these roles, the value of art and creativity to the wellbeing of individuals, and to the social fabric of the community as a whole, has become evident. The importance that Glen Innes people in particular, place on cultural opportunities and contributions highlights the value of the Glen Innes Art Gallery.  The involvement of so many participating members is a measure of our community’s wellbeing.

It is for this reason that Robyn is pleased to be a part of the Glen Innes Art Gallery team, and relishes opportunity to contribute to the success and sustainability of the Gallery, in whatever way she can.
